The Islamic university was opened its postgraduate program in the academic year 2013/2014 AD, to meet the short fallings that facing the Somali community for the obtaining a higher education qualifications, with the aim of the university to enhance its care to the Islamic and Arabic language studies and the expansion of its research and publication and also the enrichment of the knowledge and its development in the various scientific fields.
Among the most important of postgraduate programs that offered by the university are included the following:-
1.Master of
Islamic jurisprudence
And that the first batch of this program for postgraduate studies have started consecutively to defense for its scientific thesis as the graduate requirements, and the university was held during the month of May and April in 2016 m a public defense sessions for the master degree dissertations in Islamic jurisprudence and Hadith and its sciences in the mid of the presence of a large gathering of university administration, faculty staff, students and distinguished guests.
These dissertations were presented by the following students:

2.Abdurashid Yusuf Abdullahi
3.Badrudin Al-Dayib Abdi-samad
4.Anisa Ali Abdi
5.Abdurahman Abukar Mo,alim Ali
The arbitration and defense committees were consists of a well qualified doctors and experienced in their fields, and after the completion of discussions and deliberations the committees have taken the debate decision to accept the dissertations that were raised for defense with the requirement to make some adjustments as needed, and give students their grades due.
It is worth to mention here that these dissertations are not the first thesis that was discussed at the university, but there was a scientific thesis for the master’s degree graduation requirements that was discussed before at the university.
