Examinations system

Types of the examination:-

1. The first round exam: it is the examination that is due to conduct in end of the each semester or level of the academic year and any student is must be to sit this exam.

2. Second round exam: it is the substitution and supplementary exams.

a. Substitution exam: it is the examination that is due to enter by the student who was absent in the first session examination with the acceptable reason, and he awarded the grade he obtained.

b. Supplementary exam: it is the examination that is due to enter by the student who was failed or absented from one subject or more in the first session or substitution exam, and he awarded only a pass grade.

Evaluation of the students’ performance in the examination:-

1. The final grade of any curricular consists of forth (40%) percentage of class activities grade and the sixth (60%) percentage of the final examination grade. Any faculty has to select the appropriate allocation to its curriculum.

2. The teachers must make the evaluation of the examinations’ results with the proper numbers without improper numbers.

3. The pass grade in any curriculum examination is sixth (60%) percentage. The academic board has the right to set other grade pass to the some faculties.

4. The examination commission has the right to add five (5) extra grades to the student’s grade in the subject he has failed, if the average grade of the student in the all subjects not less than sixth five (65%) percentage, or two subjects if the average of the student in the all subjects he examined not less than seventh (70%) .

5. The grades that the student achieved have to be calculated in every semester as the following manner:-

Awarding the first class honor procedures:-

1. The first class honor is awarded to the student who achieved the accumulated average grade of (3, 75) to (4, 00) upon the graduation, also the second class honor is awarded to the student who achieved the accumulated average grade point of (3, 00) to (3, 75).

2. In obtaining the first and the second class honors grade points there is the following requirements:-

a. The student must be has not failed in any subject he taught during a long his study at the university.

b. The student must be has completed all the graduation requirements in a period not exceeding four (4) years.

Examinations’ procedures:

1. The examinations schedule has to be announced at least before two weeks of the examinations’ start, and cannot be emended after the announcement.

2. The first round exam is to be conducted at end of the every semester for the subjects that are due to expires at the end of this semester.

3. The student who fulfilled the conditions of attendance and paid tuition fees is allowed to sit the exam.

4. The student must when he entering the exam hall to highlight the university identity card (ID) or its equivalence when it lost.

5. No student is allowed to carry him in to the exam hall any scientific materials can be utilized or communication devices without a general permission issuance before the start of the exam.

6. No student is allowed to enter the examination hall after half an hour of the start time of the exam.

7. No student is allowed to leave the examination hall after the questions paper distribution until half an hour has pass from the start time of the exam. Also no student is allowed to return to examination after his extradition of the sheet answer.

8. The student must sign to confirm his presence in front of his name in the list students’ examiners.

9. The student who unable to attend the exam hall with the acceptable excuse reason is sat in a separation place for the exam and supervised by an observer approved by the exams’ commission.

10. The student who is absent from the final exam, his grade on that exam is zero and his grade on that semester is calculated in appreciation on the basis of the class activities’ grades that he has achieved.

11. If the student is unable to attend the final exam in any of the semester subjects to the excuse compulsive reason, the faculty board is allowed – in extreme cases - to accept his excuse and allow giving a substituted exam during the period not exceeding the third week of the study start in the next semester at most, and he awarded according to his performance in the substitution’s exam.

12. To hold a substitution exam is required from student to advance his excuse absent from time of the emergence excuse until the end of the second week of the exam.
